Anyone who is a hiker in Santa Fe has enjoyed the trek on the Atalaya Mountain Hiking Trail. The trailhead begins at one of the premiere neighborhoods in the city, Wilderness Gate. Tesuque Village – The Neighborhoods of Santa Fe, New Mexico
Whenever my out of town friends come to visit I always take them on a short drive to Tesuque Village. It’s just a 12 minute ride from the downtown Santa Fe Plaza, along the Tesuque River, past Bishop’s Lodge Resort, green meadows, orchards and tall Cottonwoods. After a visit to the Flea market, the locals gather for brunch at The Tesuque Village Market. The area is an idyllic oasis in the high desert and is home to Hollywood actors, producers, composers, artists and Bohemians of all sorts. The village was settled in 1694 and is home to the Tesuque Pueblo, The Santa Fe Opera and the newly completed Encantado, an Auberge five-star resort. Just writing this blog makes me want to get in my convertible MINI Cooper and go!
